Project Payments Refund Preview

How refunds work in the simulator and who will handle them if live payments launch.

Not a live payment service. This is a draft for the test simulator. It does not enable real checkout, payouts, or fees.

1. The simulator has no refunds

Project Payments currently moves no money. Synthetic purchases and refunds exist only to test webhook, entitlement, cancellation, and replay behavior. They do not charge a card, return money, create store credit, or establish a claim against VibeNest, a creator, or Paddle.

2. VibeNest platform purchases remain separate

Refunds for VibeNest AI credits and hardware subscriptions continue to be governed exclusively by the main VibeNest Refund Policy. A transaction made by a future buyer inside a creator’s project is not a purchase of VibeNest credits or hardware and will not be processed under that policy.

3. Future buyer purchases

Before live checkout is enabled, every project must clearly show:

  • the legal seller and Merchant of Record named on the checkout and receipt;
  • the creator’s product-specific refund, cancellation, and fulfilment terms;
  • how a buyer requests payment help from the Merchant of Record and product help from the creator;
  • when an approved refund revokes or changes access to the digital product;
  • any non-waivable consumer rights that apply in the buyer’s location.

4. Proposed 14-day baseline

The planned seller template uses a 14-day request window as a baseline for eligible purchases, subject to the product type, delivery or consumption, the Merchant-of-Record rules, and mandatory consumer law. It is not a universal promise for every future project. The final policy displayed by the specific seller at checkout controls, except where law or the provider gives the buyer stronger rights.

Recurring offers must disclose renewal and cancellation before purchase. Digital content or immediately delivered services may require a specific request for immediate performance and acknowledgement of the legal effect; an integration agent may insert only an approved, jurisdiction-appropriate template and may not invent or pre-accept that language for the creator or buyer.

5. Responsibility split

  • The creator handles product quality, fulfilment, technical support, and the project’s stated refund conditions.
  • The future Merchant of Record handles payment-side buyer support, provider approval, and return to the original payment method under its terms.
  • VibeNest supplies integration and operational tooling. It does not currently approve, fund, or settle Project Payments refunds.

6. Before live payments

Live payments will remain unavailable until the project owner accepts the seller’s Refund Policy, the payment provider confirms the refund process, and tests show that approved, rejected, duplicated, and out-of-order events update customer access correctly.

These Project Payments drafts supplement, and do not replace, the main VibeNest Terms, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. Questions may be sent to info@vibenest.net.
